This unit was about reading and listening- two equally important receptive skills. The lesson went over various ideas that can be used in the engage, study, and activate phases for reading and listening. A variety of resources can be used for reading and listening. For example, use a part of an Elvis track to get the students listening and then ask questions about it afterwards.This unit prepares the teacher for future units and sets an example of what to expect from a good teacher and a good learner. It also shows the teacher what to expect of students at various age and skill levels. It showed the different roles a teacher plays in the classroom and sets the teacher up for thinking of which role they should play at different points in the class time.
