Teaching certificates open a lot of opportunities to find a good job throughout the world to native speakers of English language either for those who are fluent in it but doesn't have a special degree in pedagogic studies. One just needs to take a CELTA, DELTA, TESOL or TEFL course that is usually about one month long and depending on time and financial solvency can be taken online or offline. These courses have similar approaches to teaching techniques and methods, they are well structured and provide much useful information on teaching resources, teaching theories as well as practical tasks. How Relationships With Your Students Influence Their Learning Process - TEFL Blog

Teaching Ideas
There are many different types of teachers in the world: funny ones, boring ones, excitable ones, monotonous ones, stern ones and ones that are just too laid back. In my lifetime, I have had many teachers and experienced many different types of teaching styles. As I considered all these in retrospect, I realized there was a common theme in the handful of teachers that had a special place in my heart. These are the teachers that not only communicated genuine care for me and my success but exuded enthusiasm for what they did. This life in them changed my perspective on subjects I had always detested, like algebra and calculus! These teachers have played a major role in my life and have encouraged and inspired many others who have been in their classrooms.... [Read more]
Should the Theory of Multiple Intelligences Influence How Teachers Teach? - TEFL Blog
Elizaveta Pachina
Teaching Ideas
For almost a hundred years the IQ test, which tested reading and logical skills, was used to determine a person's general intelligence. Howard Gardener, a Harvard psychologist found this idea too limiting and in 1983 introduced his theory of multiple intelligences, where intelligence is made up of more diverse skills.
Gardener initially listed 7 intelligences:
Later, an eighth intelligence was added:

How Grammar Influences a Language Acquisition - TEFL Blog
Elizaveta Pachina
Teaching Ideas
Teaching a language seems to have its roots precisely in teaching grammar: one of the first learning methodologies in history was grammar-translation. Used to translate Greek into Latin, it was inefficient for speech development, yet it remains one of the most popular teaching methods in education. Unfortunately, even from my own experience as a student, this is the preferred teaching method and it wasn't until recently that a more interactive way of learning was introduced in schools.

How Can Reading Influence Language Acquisition? - TEFL Blog
Elizaveta Pachina
Teaching Ideas
Language acquisition is a process that engages different skills and is therefore influenced by them. Reading, which is among the four main language skills, is considered to be influential in this process in many ways. In my opinion, it is one of the best contributors to the journey of learning a new language and although its advantages seem to be exclusive to reading comprehension, it involves other skills to a high degree as well.
