We are looking for online English Teachers to teach to busy professionals, primarily located in Japan. Teachers can be based anywhere in the world, with lessons conducted online.
The English Farm is a New Zealand company, founded in 2012 to prepare intermediate to advanced English speakers for work and study. Our students work in diverse fields such as consulting, finance, engineering, pharmaceuticals, IT, tech and design, and our courses are designed using a combination of in-house curriculum and textbooks from the world’s leading publishers. The English Farm was set up by English teachers, and we have created an environment where caring, skilled teachers can perform their best, with integrity, professionalism and pride.
Enrolment has grown substantially, and 2021 promises to continue this trend, so we are now looking for new teachers to join our global team. Our teachers work flexible hours, delivering 25 minute lessons to smart, professional learners of English of university age or over.
We our offer teachers:

Successful applicants will:
Have some English teaching experience, ideally in online and to adult learners;
Have some professional experience, ideally in a field relevant to our students’ work;
TEFL/TESOL preferred;
Have a good understanding of English grammar and its underlying principles, and the ability to explain these concepts clearly and simply;
Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, before and after work in a student’s time zone;
Be professional, personable, and knowledgeable of other cultures;
Have a fast, reliable internet connection, web camera and headset, and strong typing and computer skills with a quiet, well-lit place to work.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Light lesson preparation;
Teaching all aspects of professional and polite English communication including grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, delivery and registry, using The English Farm curriculum;
Writing up accurate and timely lesson records, and working collaboratively with other English Farmers; and
Providing rich and constructive feedback, occasional assessment reports and homework checking.
