Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit i have learnt the importance of writing and speaking in the classroom. Writing is usually not seen as important although it can require more skill. I have also learnt the main differences of accuracy and fluency and how they differ. I beleive it is important to differentiate the two when teaching in a class. This unit also explained how games can be affective in the classroom environment and how they can be used.Modals, Phrasal Verbs and Passive Voice are tenses that as native speakers we use without really thinking. When deconstructing and categorising the tenses, it proved to be a challenge to me. This is probably because our way of speaking comes naturally but when explaining the structure and identifying the grammar it is more difficult. For example, I have always used the passive and active voice interchangeably without knowing.
