We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our Secondary Level faculty. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and possess a strong command of the English language. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for designing engaging and challenging lessons that cater to students' diverse learning needs while fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for literature.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for students in the Secondary Level, aligning with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Employ various teaching strategies to cater to students' different learning styles and abilities, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Foster a love for reading and literature by introducing students to a diverse range of literary works, both classic and contemporary.
• Encourage students to express themselves effectively and creatively through writing, speaking, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enrich students' learning experiences.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance classroom instruction and promote digital literacy.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, and communicate progress reports to parents and guardians as required.
• Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture that fosters open-mindedness, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives and cultures.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Teaching certification and valid state licensure for secondary education.
• Proven experience as an English Teacher at the secondary level, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated passion for education and a commitment to student development.
• Innovative and adaptable teaching methods that foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
• Knowledge of educational technology tools and their integration into classroom instruction.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
