CELM is an international school based in Ciudad Ojeda, Zulia State, Venezuela. We are looking for Overseas K-12 teachers from North, South and Central America (from Early Childhood Education up to Grade 12).
We expect the teacher to:
• Plan, prepare, and teach well-developed lessons and deliver group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines which enthuse and inspire them, and promote the enjoyment of learning.
• Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction to meet all students’ learning styles, with an appreciation for students’ learning differences.
• Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the course/content area and audience of learners.
• Assess, track, and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement (performance and growth) and developmental needs to students, academics, and other managers/colleagues.
• Design, administer, and evaluate a range of formative and summative assessments.
• Take part in a variety of collaborative teams and committees.
• Fulfil supervision duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues.
Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree/M. A/M. Sc in the relevant subject(s) mentioned above.
• TEFL/TESOL preferred.
• Excellent English oral and writing skills. Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Problem-solving capability.
• Excellent listening and questioning skills.
• Attentive to deadlines.
• Flexible.
• Computer literacy.
• Team player.
• Have experience working with MAP Test results and platforms like Edmentum Exact Path.
•Teaching experience in a multicultural setting
• Experience teaching children at the lower, middle, and/or upper school levels.
