Aerosim Flight Academy, a professional pilot training school in North America, is currently seeking a motivated English or Foreign Language professional to teach plain English, in an aviation context, to ESL pilot cadets. The candidate will be trained in aviation terminology and procedures prior to classroom placement. This is a full-time position. Candidates should have a minimum of one year's ESL teaching experience, ESP teaching experience preferred. A willingness to continue professional development by participating in ESL and/or aviation-related courses, conferences, workshops, and staff meetings is also expected. Required Qualifications * A Bachelor's Degree with TESL/TESOL certification. * A minimum of one year ESL teaching experience, ESP teaching experience preferred. * A willingness to learn about the field of aviation. * A willingness to continue professional development by participating in ESL and/or aviation-related courses, conferences, workshops, and staff meetings. * Ability to work with students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, or ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities, in both small and large group settings. Preferred Qualifications * A Master's Degree in English or Foreign Languages with TESL/TESOL certification. * A minimum of 3 years experience working with ESL learners. * Experience with testing and evaluation procedures. * Experience in the field of aviation.Job Details: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Aviation English Instructors include but are not limited to: * Making the Aviation English Language classroom an environment of mutual respect, inclusiveness, and rich cultural diversity. * Applying teaching methods and approaches to address multiple learning styles. * Teaching an Aviation-specific English language to speakers of other languages. * Familiarizing pilot cadets with the ICAO language proficiency requirements. * Regularly using testing and evaluation procedures to diagnose pilot cadets' proficiency levels and needs, while continuously monitoring progress and improvement. * Regularly conferencing with pilot cadets to keep them informed of their individual progress. * Collaborating with flight instructors and other aviation personnel to keep abreast of any problems or special needs of pilot cadets. * Continuing professional development by participating in ESL and/or aviation-related courses, conferences, workshops, and staff meetings.Minimum Salary: 40,000 Maximum Salary: 50,000 Salary Currency: U.S. Dollar (USD) per year.
