Date posted:2024-05-26 | Writer: Kings Young Learners | Email: [email protected]

Join our team as an ESL Teacher/Activity Leader at one of our summer centers in the UK and the US!

Role Description

The main role of the Teacher is to provide ESL instruction to our international students. It may be that there is a double shift system where half the students have lessons in the morning and the other half in the afternoon so there are a few different teacher contract options.

30 contact teaching hours per week: teachers will have 30 contact hours of teaching and will spend a 6th non-teaching day either going to the airport to assist with meet and greet/departure of students; being on site to help with arrivals and departures or general office duties; or leading in a full day excursion.

15 contact teaching hours per week: In the single shift scenario teachers are expected to teach 15 hours per week and perform a number of day time and evening activity sessions and a full-day excursion or airport transfers as well as doing some student monitoring at meal and break times.

Teaching staff on both these contracts work a 6-day week
