Modal verbs modify the main verb in some way, such as adding a degree of certainty or formality. Passive voice removes the emphasis from the subject. Phrasal verbs are made up of a verb and at least one participle. Relative clauses modify or clarify the independent clauses they are attached to. Modal verbs have complicated shades of meaning which will require memorization and exposure to fully acclimate students to.This unit discussed common practices when approaching different class scenarios. The scenarios focused on during this unit were beginner, children, individual, business English, and monolingual classes. Proper teaching techniques were described in each of these scenarios. Helpful points were made about how to approach certain classes versus others. Some avoidable techniques for certain audiences were also discussed.
