Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This lesson is a high level explanation of the testing process and how to best utilize the results and when to appropriately administer the tests. It brings in the different combinations of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and to achieve the most effective way to learn the target subject. It also points out the different types of syllabi that can be used to tailor the course to a specific group of students. This unit took a deeper look into the different types of materials a person would use as an English teacher. Specifically, this unit looked at course books and gave advice on how to assess the quality of a coursebook in addition to general guidelines on how to use a coursebook. It was good to have the difference between created and authentic materials re-emphasized to show the different ways and times to use those as well.
