Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I found this unit very difficult, there is a lot of information to take in and to remember. Although it is important to make sure that I am presenting myself as a good model to my students, I believe it is not over important to emphasise more than past and future tense. The rest comes naturally with practise when you become fluent. To over emphasise it only causes unnecessary stress and frustration when learning a new language.Lesson planning has been a source of anxiety for me as I think about a career in teaching. This unit helped me to break down the parts of an effective lesson, also helping me realize that the most important part of lesson planning is that not everything has to go as planned--which was really my biggest fear. Lesson planning is more of a guide than a prescription, and can be modified and adjusted as needed throughout the lesson.
