Suratthani is just a short sea ferry ride to Koh Sumui and a couple of very quiet beaches are nearby, plus not far off are some great mountains, tropical countryside and friendly people. So what's the catch?
Well, to enjoy all this you need to work and get paid by us. It's not too difficult working at Phasasilvittaya School because it's full time and the hours are just 23 and the pay is 25, 000 Baht a month plus 1, 000 Baht for help with accommodation, though the apartments here are from 4, 000 Baht and up, so they are pretty cheap.
You will be teaching Anuban, (8 - 12 year olds) and some travel is involved, though not too much. That gives you enough time to enjoy the restaurants and bars in town and maybe meet some interesting people.
