For someone like me who struggles to enjoy lesson plans, this is a good balance of a lesson. I like how it proposes lesson planning as a structure from which to be flexible. I also liked the format of the example lesson plan and evaluation sheet. I agree that it's important to look back and see if objectives were achieved and if each of the phases was carried out successfully, as well as what changes might be made next time.Unit 1 covered attributes of a good teacher and student as well as expected differences between different age groups of students and definitions of language ability levels. This unit showed helped me understand the different activities that teachers engage in and the importance of having balanced class time. The information about cultural sensitivity and what to expect from different age groups seems very important as well.
