About PBISS
PBISS implements its own pedagogic approach, Cambridge x STEM+, which is designed to develop cognitive abilities, such as critical thinking, as well as desirable traits, such as curiosity, through hands-on, active learning. From an academic standpoint, we are outcome oriented with the goal to foster students’ drive and ability to acquire new knowledge. While Cambridge international curriculum is what we do, our internally built and constantly evolving STEM+ approach is how we do it.
PBISS community is often described as a home away from home. We are situated in Koh Samui, a beautiful and welcoming tropical island that offers excellent quality of life. Palm-fringed beaches, coconut groves and dense, mountainous rainforest are just across the street, and 1 hour from Bangkok by plane.
Colleagues are also genuinely interested in the scholarship of their subject and enjoy a level of autonomy in their teaching that allows them to develop their own effective style that can be safely shared within the school.
PBISS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo background screening appropriate to the post.
We are committed to creating and sustaining an environment that values and celebrates the diversity of both staff and pupils. We believe in equal opportunity for everyone, irrespective of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.
