Udonpittayanukoon Public School in Udon Thani seeks: Native English Speakers, six positions. We are seeking a total of six teachers for our EP (English Program) beginning in May 2005. We are looking for two English teachers, one math teacher, one science teacher, one P.E./Health teacher and one qualified computer instructor. This is a government school, so all government holidays apply. Also, please be aware that for reasons unknown, this school may not contact prospective employees until March 2005. (Please note that if you have previously applied, I saved, printed and delivered your application to the administration office.) The period of employment is eleven months; 01 May to 31 March. There is a three-month probationary period, which is determined by observation from school officials. You will be expected to follow all Thai government school rules; i.e. guard duty on school grounds, morning assembly and prayer, writing and developing monthly lesson plans and participation in extra curricular English activities. There “shouldn’t” be more than 20 hours of student contact per week. Unfortunately, teachers are responsible for all expenses; such as, monthly taxes, work permit fees, all visa fees, travel expenses for visa renewals and all medical expenses. The salary is determined on the day of the interview, (limit of 30, 000 baht monthly) and there is a 3, 000 baht per month housing allowance. All applicants must be NATIVE SPEAKERS OF ENGLISH from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Minimum requirements for applicants are the possession of a BA/BS degree and TEFL certification. If you are still interested, please e-mail your resume and a photo (if possible) to our e-mail address.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
