Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered what makes a good teacher as well as what makes a good learner. It also discussed the difference between different types of learners, or students, and the different language levels. When discussing different types of learners, this section touched on how age can affect a students motivation and abilities while learning english. The different roles that a teacher has were also explained very thoroughly. This unit was insightful on how the needs of students might change depending upon their reason for learning english. This is insightful for me as a teacher who will likely be teaching students of varying different age groups. In order to ensure every student is engaged in a lesson, teachers must take care to identify what the motivating factors of the student will be, such as better work performance, better grades, etc.
