Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The resources provided in this unit are spectacular. What I learned is that there are so many teaching aids and equipment available, that it might by a bit overwhelming in selecting particular aids/equipment to use. It seems to me that a good approach would be to determine the grammar point to teach, and then select any aids/equipment that would enhance effective teaching, be of interest to the students, and keep classes exciting. This unit was the most challenging unit yet as I had not previously been introduced to the phonetic alphabet yet. I can see after becoming more familiar with the tool that it would be a great resource to have as an English teacher. Learning about the influence of intonation and stress in making meaning was also very insightful as it is something I do naturally. However, this is a very important learning for those learning English.
