Robert's American School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan is currently accepting applications for 2 full time TEFL positions starting mid-August, 2020. Successful applicants will have a professional demeanor along with the ability to inspire and guide children through their English Language education. Candidates should be energetic and comfortable in working with an American reading program and curriculum. We are foreign owned/managed.JOB DETAILS:The Full Time positions will initially provide 28-30 teaching hours per week with a working permit, residence visa, and health insurance provided.1:45-9:00(M,Wed,Th,Fri) 4:45-9:00(Tu.) –Our base pay is 640NT/hour+ and the salary is based on experience.OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE:Health Insurance & ARC Performance bonusesPaid training sessionsREQUIREMENTS:Candidates must have the following qualifications: 1) Hold a passport from US, Canada, Australia, NZ, South Africa, or the UK. 2) Hold a University Degree. TEFL/TESOL a distinct advantage. 3) Be available for an interview 4) 1 year teaching commitment 5) Background check from your home country if you don't already have an ARC in Taiwan TO APPLY:Interested candidates can send an email with resume to the Director at the address given on the job heading.ADDITIONAL NOTE:***Covid-19 Procedures for Entering Taiwan:Due to Taiwan’s pro-active and strict planning for Covid-19, the country has not experienced any type of shut down or disruption of work in most industries. New cases have been at a bare minimum to zero recently and are usually imported.Currently, (end of May), foreign visitors may not enter Taiwan. However, if you apply for a teaching position and are accepted you can gain entry by doing the following:Get a health check and background check notarized by the Taiwan consulate where you are currently living.Send those notarized documents to us and we will use them in your Alien Resident Card application.Once Alien Resident Card is accepted, we will send the approval document back to you. You then take this document back to the Taiwan consulate where they will grant you a special entry visa.Upon entry into Taiwan, you will be required to quarantine for 14 days. Taiwan is extremely diligent and strict on tracing your whereabouts during this period.Post quarantine, you will be allowed to work at the school.
