This unit discussed the different tests that are given to students outside of the school. These tests consist of TOEFL test which I am familiar with, and other tests that I have not heard of until now. The unit also covers the different types of tests given to students throughout the year depending on what the teacher needs to know about the students. The different tests are: diagnostic, progress, placement and practice test.I wasn't previously aware of the many different sub-sections of each part of speech, for example I wasn't aware that there were different types of verbs, nor did I know that adjectives were placed in a particular order that English speakers were naturally aware of. There were many things that I had previously learnt in my schooling. However, it was very enlightening to be able to expand and deepen my knowledge on the subject.
