Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit focuses on pronunciations and phonetics. I learned to read words based off of the phonetic spelling of the words, which was initially tough to revert to. In terms of pronunciation, this unit does a good job of explaining the different intonations and the meaning behind them. The examples in the chapter was also helpful, especially the poem which could be use in future classrooms to assist with pronunciation. This unit was a very knowledgeable of what types of examinations and assessments there are, based primarily on the level of the student. Something new I learned from this unit chapter was the differences between placement, practice, diagnostics, and external tests. It was quite interesting to learn that there are numerous types of external exams that help qualify an individual based on their English level proficiency.
