Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit helped me to explore the different methods and styles of teaching. It showed me that not all styles of teaching are the same, teachers may use methods which they are most comfortable with or which they believe gets the best results. Neither way is right or wrong. I enjoyed learning some new games which I hadn't heard of before, I believe this will help me to make my lessons more exciting and add variation. This unit was about the different types of materials that can be found in a classroom. Videos, recordings, visual aids and projections are all things that will help communicate the lesson while reducing teacher talk time. Whatever materials you want to use, it is important to plan ahead to make sure that the materials will be suitable for the lesson and to make sure that the teacher knows how to use everything well.
