Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is about Conditionals & Reported Speech. There're 5 forms of conditionals. Zero-, first-, second-, third- and mixed conditional. You can teach them best using: Split sentences, complete the conditional, chain conditionals e.g Furthermore there is direct and indirect speech. Report what someone said (indirect) changes the sentence structure. This together with teaching ideas is part of this unit aswell. This unit covers the main parts of the English language from nouns, verbs, adjectives, articles and Gerunds. It gives us lots of examples of each, as separate words and used in sentences. I learnt that there are many different types of adjectives which although I know of in being a native English speaker I now know the difference and have gained an insight in how to teach this and explain the differences to students.
