Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
This fourth unit deals with the present tenses. It explains the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect and the present perfect continuous. It also gives you some examples of the typical student errors/mistakes, as well as it provides you with some hints on how to teach these tenses in the activate stage.
I think it is a useful unit as it allows me to quickly revise all my knowledge of the present tenses.Unit 16: Conditionals & Reported Speech
I found that picking and writing the correct form of reported sentences confused me quiet a bit.
For some reason I couldn't create the sentences correctly and I always make a mistake. It is very frustrating, especially because sometime in spoken English we use slang more often than not. So speaking proper English and knowing the correct forms of reported language is extremely important.
