Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this Unit I have learnt about the 2 productive skills, speaking and writing. Teaching this I should know about the difference between accuracy and fluency activities. Accuracy activities are part of the study phase and are concentrated on producing correct language. Fluency activities are usually part of the activate phase and are a time for the students to experiment with the language and be creative. This lesson gave me a much needed review of the past tense verb forms. As in the previous lesson about present tenses, I found it strange that I put these phrases and verb forms into practice on the daily, but I have trouble articulating exactly what purpose they serve in a sentence. As this will be necessary for me to teach this information to a group of students, I was glad that I was able to review it.
