Job Teaching English in Spain (4)

Unit 11 has shown 2 of the four teaching skills. These are listening and reading, which belong to the Receptive skills. The reason of these skills as well as how we do them have also been outlined in this unit. This unit has helped me being more aware of these skills and how important each of them is. As well, I have acquired various ideas on how I can make them come across easier to the students.This unit was all about lesson planning. The thing that I learned the most, was that in the Engage phase, as a teacher you could talk about your experiences somewhere else and then make a lesson plan out of it. In addition, I learned the importance of progress monitoring and not having the same type of class every time. I also learned a lot about having a general plan but not creating a script.
