ALP Ireland is an organisation helping schools in Spain to find English Language Assistant Teachers. We prepare shortlists for the schools and each school selects and hires directly. This is an ideal opportunity for TEFL graduates. Four English Language assistants are needed urgently for 2 schools in Barcelona city.
The job is to help the teachers in the secondary schools with the development and the use of the English language. Spanish not required. We are looking for someone with a college degree for the secondary department and a qualified primary teacher, early education or child care qualifications for our infants and primary department. We need people capable of getting a class involved and with the initiative to teach foreign children through debates, music, current affairs etc. We need candidates that are active, mature and with a hands on attitude ready for the challenges that a new culture and a new language will bring.
The schools will provide:
. Contracts for a school year (starting September 2016 to end of June 2017) 25hrs per week Monday to Friday with same days off as rest of the school.
. Return flights (beginning and end of contract)
. Accommodation included
. Lunch Monday to Friday
. Monthly salary
-Two-week paid holidays at Christmas, one week at Easter and national/local bank holidays.
