Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is about present tense. Chinese is my native tongue and it has lots of similarities with English in terms of sentence order and structure. However, tense in Chinese language is much more simpler compared with English, therefore it is challenging to explain to local students the rules and how to apply them. I would like to use the ESA method to engage students in this type of learning. This unit broadly covers the system and structure formation of past tenses that differ from present tenses. More so it describes irregular, simple, and continuous forms of verbs for use in various sentence structures. This unit is essential to review and cover when teaching English as it assists the foreign learner to use verbs and phrases that agree with one another for effective communication
