Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 7 uses various ESA lesson structures to provide some suggestions about how to approach different aspects of teaching a new language, including new vocabulary, language functions, and grammar structures. The Unit draws on information introduced in Unit 3 about Straight Arrow, Boomerang, and Patchwork ESA lesson structures, using these structures to present how an ESL lesson might be most efficiently implemented.This has given me a better understanding of how to interact and make the lessons easier and more engaging for the students. Students need to be entertained and their interest peeked at all times as this will keep their concentration higher. They will want to learn more. It is hard enough to learn a new language and it needs to be made interesting for the students and this has given me the tools and ideas to do this.
