Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was a bit of an overview of what i've been taught in my previous experience in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as a Youth and Adult Leader. The roles of a teacher coincide with the methods of leadership in the BSA. What I did learn from this unit was the different approaches to learning due to cultural backgrounds. Such as the difference between asian countries and latin american countries. What can be very complicated to teach about the past tenses is how past actions are related to other past actions. This has to be made very clear to the student. Another tricky concept is the idea of an action that continued for a period of time versus a one-time action that happened only for a few seconds. I believe that a clear understanding of these points will make using past tenses a lot easier.
