Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
I found this unit rather difficult, especially the part explaining the phrasal verb. Perhaps I could have done with more examples. I understood the difference between active and passive voice. I also felt like I understood most of the rules behind the auxiliary verbs through my Swedish language learning. I also, as always, enjoyed the teaching suggestion for the classroom as it reminds me of why knowing this is important. There were a few times where I was not able to answer grammar questions asked by my foreign friends. How do you know when to use \"a/an\" and \"the\"? I use them without knowing the reason. But now through this unit I have learnt to be able to do so. In addition, this unit has helped to strengthen my English grammar. I feel that my English grammar has weaken because I have been speaking a second language most of the time.
