Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
Both reading and listening skill plays a vital role in teaching receptive skills, despite the fact that reading involves a 'script' while listening doesn't. This requires teachers should be careful when selecting task materials and be thoughtful when using ways to arouse students' interest. Also, this unit has provided a practical outline of a typical reception skill lesson which will be quite useful for our information.Unit 2 has helped me get equipped with small and essential particles of English language namely ; parts of speech and some basic grammar items. As a prospective teacher, I firmly believe that being familiar with structural parts of language will help me be more confident about not only what I am going to be teaching and also the questions that students can ask. This being the case, this unit has been very helpful for me.
