Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit presents information on teaching lessons of vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Also presented in the material is what students need to know about vocabulary and determining how to teach the material. Grammar lessons follow more of a structure since there is more of a consensus on how to teach. For each of the three lesson types, examples are given using the ESA technique, including ideas for activities. This unit was helpful in ironing out small difficulties that may come up in lessons. I learned helpful strategies for teaching large classrooms or engaging reluctant participators. I like the idea of having extra activities or worksheets prepared for the stronger students so that you can give the slower students extra time. Overall, I feel prepared to teach a class and ready to start putting what I have learned into practice.
