Established in 1991, Universidad Columbia del Paraguay (Columbia University of Paraguay) is a higher education institution located in the medium-sized city of Asunción (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Asuncion. We have occasional opportunities for TEFL qualified English teachers who are planning to stay in Paraguay. Officially accredited and recognized by the Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, Paraguay (Ministry of Education and Culture, Paraguay), Universidad Columbia del Paraguay is a coeducational higher education institution. We offer courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study and students need to have a high level of English.
We are particularly interested in teachers who are an expert in their professional area, with the ability and interest to transfer knowledge to students. In the classroom, we expect you to use active methodologies and adapt to the new technologies that facilitate the teaching-learning process. Plan and organize the subject, so that the student is aware of their expectations and institutional objectives. The teacher of the PCU is motivated and considers teaching as a tool to contribute to the training of professionals of excellence that will be decisive in the development of our country.
REQUIREMENTS:
Have a professional degree from a national or international university with a recognized career.
Accredit a minimum pedagogical training of 360 hours (Higher University Teaching)
Minimum TEFL experience of two (2) years.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, coordinate, control and evaluate the teaching processes - learning of the degree program
To guide, motivate, control and evaluate the academic performance of students to ensure the development of the basic achievements of the areas, using new active and constructive approaches
Adapt and apply new methodologies and technologies required for the transmission of knowledge.
