Southern Lakes English College, located on the SIT campus in Invercargill, is looking for highly motivated, flexible, and energetic EFL teachers who will relish the challenge of teaching adult students from various countries. Applicants must be flexible and available for daytime and evening teaching.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning and delivering general and academic English lessons
Teaching exam preparation classes
Guiding and supporting students in academic matters
Designing, delivering, and marking tests
Reporting assessment results
Writing academic reports and giving feedback to students
Being part of the academic team
Supporting the academic development of the college
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language (TEFL or TESOL), Trinity Cert, DELTA, CELTA, or equivalent
Teaching experience working with international students
Sensitivity to international students’ needs
Communication, time management, and organisational skills
Attention to detail
IELTS or any other international examiner status a plus
