Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This was another complicated unit with a lot of information. This unit could benefit from many more examples and much longer explanations. This unit discusses modal verbs, passive and active voice, and transitive verbs. Modal verbs are very important and need to be taught well, since they are used much more than the passive voice or transitive verbs. I would spend a whole class period on modal verbs if I was teaching.I found Studying unit 20 on trouble shooting to be one of the easy units. This unit did offer some great advice about different groups I may encounter such as first lessons and the differences between a new group and an existing group. Also the section on Different level students was of interest as Id not really thought of this so it was helpful to learn how to deal with, such as pairing stronger students with weaker.
