Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

There are a number of ways to assess a student's language level: tutorials, evaluation, tests. There are progress tests, diagnostic tests given at the start of the year to check the level of language, placement tests showing language ability and level, proficiency tests and achievement tests and practice tests all evaluating students during the year. External tests vary depending on the purpose of going through certification. This unit helps give an insight on how to manage creative writing and reading using the teaching framework called ESA. This structured technique allows a perfect balance of student - teacher interaction while having the teacher still in main control of the classroom and situation. The teacher should also take into account cultural reasons and make sure to cover all loop holes that may hinder the development of the student.
