Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit puts forth information that can be vital to helping students understand certain words and how to pronounce them. Intonation and stress are things often overlooked when studying English and definitely forgotten by most native speakers so learning it is something that can increase your advantage in learning. The only difficult and possibly useless thing in this unit is the phonetic script. It is overly complex. This unit reinforced what I had previously learnt in the unit on the present tense. I was also able to get a better understanding of the defined usages of the various past tense forms- it was once again the challenge of not simply accepting something is right just because I know it to be but understanding the rules of grammar behind it. The aux. verbs are crucial in identifying and understanding these tense structures.
