Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit has a quick overview on different types of evaluation and testing and their aims in a language learning context. The unit briefly goes over such tests as 'placement test', 'progress test', diagnostic test', and ' practice test'. A quick introduction to the most well-known external examinations (AKA proficiency tests) such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, and Cambridge exams like KET, PET, FCE, etc. is also given.This unit covers most of the equipment and resources available to the ESL teacher, and their proper use. It also provides a long list of internet links to disctionary, grammmar, and lesson plan resources that hopefully can be accessed throughout my teaching career. The importance of having a backup plan in the event of equipment failure is a serious requirement. I know this from 15 years as an automobile mechanic.
