Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit provided two video examples of actual lessons. The first video showed a teacher who was unengaged, and unprepared which in turn led to learner confusion and lack of motivation. The second video showed a teacher who was engaged, approachable which in turn led to better classroom success. It is important to bring energy, excitement and the ability to explain concepts in many ways to keep learners interested and engaged.during this unit, i enjoyed revising over the roles of teacher and student/adults along with identifying the common advantages and disadvantages in teaching groups vs individuals. also reading back over the skills: listening, reading and speaking, writing has been beneficial. the teaching methods overview is very informative from one end of the spectrum to the other and giving the background to the other methodologies. many thanks
