Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This chapter did a good job explaining the pro and cons of using authentic material, created material, and course work material. During my previous time teaching in China, I mostly used created material for my class. This allowed me to tailor the course work to my students. However, at that time I did not think about using authentic material for the classroom. This is something I will definitely use for my next teaching job.It took me several days to get through Unit 2, it was a really dense content. I hadn't been studying grammar since middle school and here there was a lot to study; I found out that I remembered a lot, and also rediscovered the importance of having good grammar foundations. Also, the way you use to explain things it will be useful for future reference (when, hopefully, I will be teaching English to some lucky soul), so thank you!
