Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit deals with teaching and learning. It explains the role of the teacher and that of the students. The unit also describes some of the advantages and disadvantages for the teacher(and for the learners) when teaching groups and individuals. It gives suggestions on how to deal with these disadvantages. Receptive and communicative skills were dealt with and various teaching methodology were reviewed. This unit introduced the if conditionals and the reported speech. The teaching ideas and games provided are interesting and could be easily used as extra practice for the students, especially that these two grammar lessons are not facile and require practice to be fully absorbed. I see the 'split sentence' game as one of the most suitable techniques that would help students grasp the grammar point fully.
