TEFL in Monterrey, Mexico

English Teachers required for full time contracts starting in July this year. The position requires a good deal of travelling around the city of Monterrey, since most of the lessons are going to take place in-company. The longest bus ride we anticipate is a 40-minute one to companies located in the Industrial Area of Monterrey, not far from the Airport. For the most part, students are executives in multi-national companies so familiarity with business English teaching and the world of business is an asset.

Teachers will be asked to teach a maximum of 25 hours per week, although the number of teaching hours is usually kept slightly below 25. When teachers are below the stipulated number of hours per month (an average of 4 per day times the number of working days per month) they will be asked to type exams, or substitiute for sick teachers. Teachers are also expected to take training courses when we offer them, e.g. FCTBE, ICELT, to name but a few.

Most lessons take place early in the morning (7.00-9.00) and in the evening (6.00-8.00 p.m.), with the possibility of having some early afternoon ones (usually around 1.30 p.m). We expect the bulk of the lessons to be in-company business English, but there might also be some in school General English lessons.
