Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

It is very important for teachers to understand what their students need, and how they learn best. All materials must follow the ESA form, meaning engage, study, and activate. The engage phase is where the teacher hooks the student. The use of elicitation is useful in the engage stage. The study phase is where the instructor focuses on the language, and the students practice what they've learned during the activate phase.The unit of future tenses is quite hard I believe in some points. I will be studying more on this subject as although I'm confident I got a reasonable score (I have been wrong before though...), marking the correct tense is difficult as the sentences are similar which sometimes leads you to believe that it could be multiple tenses. It's good to learn about these in details and look forward to teaching them in the future.
