In this lesson I learned the difference between receptive and productive skills. While both are equally important they each should be approach with a different tactic. Planning ahead is key, gathering the right materials and striking a balance between authentic and non-authentic text to build students confidence, not forgetting to prepare them with the appropriate vocabulary the lesson will be about would be the best rout to take.I have learned that as a teacher, I can utilize various roles in many different situations. I feel these will be a necessary tool in enlightening and motivating the students. The various types of students is also a great lesson I've learned. All students are different and learning to use these roles and teaching methods will be paramount in helping each student learn because different methods work better for different students.
