Culturlingua Jalisco is a small and friendly language center located in downtown Tlaquepaque, a suburb of Mexico's second largest city, Guadalajara. Whilst being close to major amenities, Tlaquepaque has retained its small town charm and continues to be famous for its arts and crafts.

We are looking for TEFL / TESOL qualified, native English speaking candidates (a degree or teaching experience is a bonus, but is not necessary) who are enthusiastic and motivated to join our small team of teachers. Our Summer semester will start on Monday 18th May 2009, and will run for 15 weeks.

If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of some keen students, and would like to live and experience life in Mexico, then we are looking forward to hearing from you.

This is an opportunity for candidates that really want to bring their English classes to life- who want to work with a syllabus but who also want to try different activities and games in their classroom to take English teaching beyond the textbook.

Teachers will work a maximum of 30 hours a week, with classes Monday through Saturday. You will, however, have the same students and classes throughout the semester.

We offer our teachers; - 700 pesos arrival bonus, upon your immediate arrival to Mexico - Furnished teachers accomodation is located less than 5 minutes walk from the school - Gas, water, electricity bills paid by the school - Cable tv and wireless internet connection in the teachers house - Spanish classes at cost price - 4500 pesos a month

We are looking for teachers that really want to stand out and make a difference.

We look forward to hearing from YOU! Contact us via e-mail at the address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The most common problem situations that teachers encounter in the classroom are ice breakers for first lessons regardless of whether the group in new or existing. Dealing with different varying levels of learning and language, dealing with large groups and when it’s appropriate to use native language. The teacher also needs aides in dealing with reluctant students and difficulties with listening texts. In this unit we looked at the materials used in a Busines English class. We saw the advantages and disadvantages of authentic materials and what to consider when preparing un-authentic study materials. We had a review for lesson planning using the ESA-method and we got some ideas for checking the students' understanding of the lesson topic. In the end we got some ideas for where to find materials in internet.
