You will be part of a team offering classes to children, teenagers, and adults in a friendly and comfortable environment.
We work with all levels on the CEFR from A1 up to C1 Advanced, classes are assigned during orientation.
Teachers are expected to teach 20 hours per week plus we provide 2 additional paid and supported planning hours.
Salary and benefits
We offer a minimum 10-month academic year contract, a competitive local salary and 20 teaching hours per week plus 2 additional paid and supported planning hours. Orientation sessions are given to all new teachers so that you feel prepared and confident for the start of the academic year.
Our teacher’s wellbeing is very important to us, so most mornings are left free for you to explore the city, plan classes, and have some time for yourself. Your accommodation is comfortably furnished, and air con is provided in the bedrooms for the warm Merida nights.
If you are unsure about how to begin working in Mexico, don’t worry, not only do we provide support in obtaining your work visa, but the cost of your visa is returned upon the completion of your contract. In addition, our financial area is always ready to assist you with your tax enquiries and anything else you may need.
Requirements
We are looking for friendly, creative, and enthusiastic teachers from the UK who are keen to work in a new country and take full advantage of what LLS, and the beautiful city of Merida has to offer.
All relevant teaching experience and certifications will be considered. (For example, CELTA, TEFL or non-ESL teaching experience in British schools). Although previous knowledge of working with Cambridge exams is beneficial, it is not required.
