Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Lesson planning is very important as specially if you are unexperienced teacher, it makes things easier for you as a teacher, knowing what you will be doing in that particular lesson but it can also be boring and predictable too because you will be teaching according what you planned. You can still decide not to plan your lesson and be creative and make a lesson more interesting. All this differs on individuals. The teaching pronunciation and phonology unit was a very challenging unit, especially since a table/list of the phonetic symbols was not included in the pdf. Nonetheless, I see the importance of learning these symbols since to native speakers, we know these sounds, movements, vibrations subconsciously. But to foreign language speakers these sounds do not come naturally and therefore need more time and attention.
