Escuela Bilingue Honduras has an immediate need for a fourth-grade teacher. These students are highly motivated, extremely bright, and a lot of fun.

Comayagua is the colonial capital of Honduras and the site of the oldest clock in the New World. It is about an hour and a half from Tegucigalpa and about three hours from San Pedro Sula and is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Temperatures are comparable to the Miami area.

We require a college degree but are not picky about other credentials. Your motivation is what we need. The textbooks are up-to-date Scott Foresman, and you would be teaching a variety of subjects in English. The school pays sufficient salary and provides housing. If you are interested, please email your resume to [email protected] or call Dora at 504-772-1542. We also have a fax but be sure to call first.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This Unit covers the topic of the Use of course books and lesson materials in the classrooms. It talks about authentic and created materials and their advantages and disadvantages, depending on the grade of the the students. Then this unit covers the advantages and disadvantages of using a course book or not. Reflecting on this unit, I can say that their is many reasons to use a course book, especially to help start a teaching career.Phonology is the study, science, analysis, and classification of the physical properties of sounds. Intonation is variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence, whereas stress is about individual words. There are several techniques to teach intonations such as nonsense words, by gesture, humming, singing and use of the board. Techniques for teaching stress are contrasting stress, by gesture, choral work, the board and stress marks.
