Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit talked about teaching sentences in the past tense. It covered past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. They all seem pretty similar to me, except with the use of the be verb and \"has\" or \"had.\" I know that teaching my students they grasp the concept of past tense easily but have difficulties understanding the different kinds of past tense. This unit did clear it up a little. In this unit, I learned about the different methods of teaching English. This unit introduced the distinct methodologies of second language (L2) teaching and included sufficient detail describing the ideal time for each method to be used. The ESA (engage, study, activate) style lesson appears very efficient. Also, this type of lesson, when executed correctly, seems to create a safe and comfortable environment for learning.
