Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit of phonology and pronunciation covered how to teach about pronunciation and gave me the phonetic tools to do so. The lesson also highlighted several different methods for teaching pronunciation and explained how to use the phonetic alphabet. In this unit, I became more comfortable with the phonetic alphabet and I learned a lot about how intonation and stress can change the meaning of speech.In this unit, I like that I was able to learn new ideas on how to teach the conditionals in English since it can be a bit of a challenge to explain the theory. The different games and teaching ideas really showed me how to apply the theory to realistic situations in the classroom. I also learned the time changes for reported speech since in most cases, native speakers do not always apply this in speech.
